Anticorruption project progress in Lanchkhuti

Anti-corruption project "cooperation for Development" initiated by Civitas Georgica in Lanchkhuti Municipality and supported by FPDL and LGI is progressing. In July the customer satisfaction survey was conducted and also the municipal staff interviewed. Later, the results were summarized and discussed with Leading Coalition members of Lanchkhuti Municipality. Leading coalition agreed to continue working on three issues:
1. Human resources management:
a. Recruiting/dismissal
b. Promotion, bonuses, assessment
2. Property management (including land and renting issues)
3. improvement of municipal territory
a. Selection of infrastructure projects
b. Control of implementation/monitoring of implementation

CEECN RT Meeting in Tbilisi in June

The CEE Citizens Network and International Association “Civitas Georgica” have the delight to announce the Representative Team Meeting of the CEE Citizens Network to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on June 11-12, 2010.
The Representative Teem meeting aims to bring its member organizations opportunities to share working and professional experience and suggestions for ideas of the CEE Citizen Network’s future progress.

Training on Emergency response planning in Guria

Training on emergency response planning was conducted in Ozurgeti, Guria region. The training was conducted within the framework of "Local Development – Natural Disaster Results Reduction Plans and Prevention Campaign in Rural Areas of Guria, Georgia" project financed by Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project is implemented in cooperation with PCPM - Fundacja Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej 

Pre-school education policy passed in Lanchkhuti

Lanchkhuti municipality has passed pre-school education policy document. The document was prepared within the joint project of "Edukator" and Civitas Georgica. The project is fianancially supported by RITA.

Lanchkhuti is first among three municipalities participating in the project. The policy document is aveliable in Georgian here.
